Control Third-Party App Access to Google Workspace Services
Enable or disable API and third-party app access to specific services.
As the admin, you can choose which of the core Google Workspace services can be connected to third-party apps by users in your account.
For example, you may wish to prevent users from connecting third-party services to Gmail, but not to Google Drive or Calendar.
In the Google Admin console at https://admin.google.com, click Security.
Select API controls.
Under Settings, type a short message to be displayed to users when they try connecting a third-party app to one of the Google Workspace core services you have restricted.
Click MANAGE GOOGLE SERVICES.
Select the Google Workspace service by checking the box to its left and click Change access on top. You can do this for multiple services at once.
Select Unrestricted to allow users to add third-party apps that connect to the service(s) you selected.
Select Restricted to allow only trusted apps to connect to Google Workspace accounts. Here’s how to add trusted apps to your allowlist.
Click CHANGE.
Enable or disable API and third-party app access to specific services.
See what apps have been connected to Google services by your users.
When access to a particular service is disabled, you can add specific allowed third-party apps.
