Requirements to access managed iOS apps settings

What happens when you remove a managed iOS app

When you remove an app from the managed apps list, you may uninstall it from users’ devices, or they may still be able to use it, depending on when the user installed the app:

  • If they installed it before November 30, 2020, the app is uninstalled when you remove it from the list.
  • If they installed it on or after November 30, 2020, the app remains on the device, and the user can use it.

To check when someone installed an app on a device, go to the Devices audit log, filter by Event name, and select Device application change > Install.
