Google Workspace Mobile Management Settings
Enable or disable mobile management, which allows you to apply admin settings to mobile phones and tablets.
Also, if IMAP is on, users can still check their email using non-Google email apps such as Apple Mail on iOS or Microsoft Outlook.
Follow the steps below.
In Google Admin at https://admin.google.com, click Devices > Mobile & endpoints > Settings > Universal settings in the menu on the left.
Select the Data Access section.
Click the type of sync you want to enable or disable.
The Android sync checkbox is for Android devices.
Google Sync is the preferred way to sync iOS mobile devices.
It uses Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync to allow your users to access their mail, contacts, and calendars on mobile devices. Users can use the built-in iOS apps or Google’s apps.
You can also add an IP whitelist. This way, you prevent users from using their mobile devices when connected to any other IPs.
Gmail archives instead of deleting when you delete Google Workspace emails using the iOS Mail app. If you prefer to have emails go to Trash in Google Workspace, check the Automatically enable “Delete Email as Trash” box.
You can also Turn on automatic sync when roaming.
iOS sync is for users on supervised iOS devices.
Click SAVE after updates. It may take up to 24 hours before devices can start or stop syncing.

Delete a device from the Devices list and stop its sync.
Stop a device’s sync and prevent it from re-syncing.
Require approval by an admin when user accounts are added to mobile devices and tables before they can access data.
Wipe a device’s Google Workspace data. Personal data remains on the device.
Require data encryption on devices so that devices need to be unlocked for anyone to access data.
Block Android or iOS devices from syncing managed account data when there are indications that they may be compromised or jailbroken.
Control if users are allowed to use the camera on their device. On devices with a work profile, users can still access the camera through personal apps.
Control if users can use Google Assistant with their managed account on their device.
