Join a Google Meet session from an email invitation

When someone invites you to a Google Meet session, you get this email invitation. 

It includes a button to join and its web address and dial-in numbers below.

Join a Google Meet session with the meeting code or URL

Alternatively, you can go to Google Meet at, type the meeting code in the Enter a code or nickname field, and click Join.

You can also just go to the session’s direct URL, which looks like this:

Either one of these options will take you to the pre-join screen, showing who is currently in the session. 

You can also enable/disable their camera and microphone and apply visual effects before joining.

Click Join now to join.

How to join and use a phone for audio

You can also use a phone to talk with and hear Google Meet session participants.

Click More options (the three dots icon) at the bottom and select Use a phone for audio.

Select Call me and enter your phone number to have Google Meet call you.

Alternatively, select Dial in and dial the phone number on your phone, then enter the PIN to join the session.
