Set up a Google Meet Session’s Host Management Controls
Restrict what session participants can do.
You can raise your hand in a Google Meet session to let meeting participants know that you want to say something.
You can find other uses for this, too, depending on your meeting.
While in a meeting in Google Meet at https://meet.google.com, click the Raise hand icon at the bottom.
Everyone can see that you are raising your hand.
You can lower your hand at any time by clicking the Lower hand icon at the bottom.
The meeting organizer can also lower your hand and see a queue with everyone who has raised their hand by clicking the Show everyone icon at the bottom right.
Hover over someone who is raising their hand and click Lower to lower it.
Restrict what session participants can do.
Separate meeting participants into groups with different sub-sessions.
Share your screen with all meeting participants.
You can record Google Meet sessions, including the chat history.
Change your background in a video meeting session.
Enable captions to see subtitles when someone speaks.
Take a look at attachments added to a meeting via Google Calendar.
As a session participant, you can indicate that you are raising your hand if you want to speak.
As a session organizer, you can start a poll and get participants to vote.
As a session organizer, you can ask questions and collect responses.
