Create a New Calendar
Create a new secondary calendar.
It’s a good idea to configure notifications for your calendars to remind yourself when events are about to start soon. Reminders come as browser pop-ups, notifications on your phone, or by email.
You can receive emails whenever an event on a specific calendar is created, changed, canceled, or responded to. You can also receive a summary of your daily schedule by email.
Go to Google Calendar at https://calendar.google.com, hover over the calendar on the left under My calendars and click the three dots icon that appears there (Options for -calendar name-).
Select Settings and sharing.
On the left, under the calendar’s name, select Event notifications.
Click Add notification.
Specify when you want to receive notifications or emails.
Click Add notification to add more.
Below, you can set up notifications for all-day events as well.
Going further down the page to General notifications, choose if you want to receive an email for the following things:
Any changes will be auto-saved.
Create a new secondary calendar.
Subscribe to another person’s calendar.
Learn which calendars are primary and which ones are secondary.
Browse and add company resource calendars and other calendars of interest.
Stop seeing a calendar you don’t need.
Grant someone else access to your calendar.
Display or hide a calendar from your list of calendars.
Permanently remove a calendar.
Export events from one or more calendars.
Add calendars and events from other services to Google Calendar.
Insert and display a calendar on a website page.
Grant third-party app access to your calendar.
