How to Sign Up for Google Workspace and Buy a Domain
Follow these steps to create your Google Workspace account and buy a domain while you’re at it.
Now that you verified your domain ownership, you may want to add users. This is the second part of the initial setup.
Users are Google accounts you create for other people and manage as a Google Workspace admin. The cost of your Google Workspace is based on the number of users you have. Click here to learn more about users.
-If you work alone, or would like to skip this step for now and add users later, click here to move on to step 3.
-If you would like to create accounts for other people now, click CREATE to the right of step 2 and proceed with the next steps below.
You can add up to 10 users during the 14-day free trial. If you add an 11th user, paid service begins.
Click CONTINUE.
Click ADD ANOTHER USER.
Type the user’s name and email address below. The Email username is the user’s primary email address. They use this email address to sign in to their account and access services.
If you’d like to add an additional email address, type it in the Email alias (optional) field.
Click Add an additional alias to add more aliases. You can also add or remove email aliases later.
Click SAVE USER when you’re ready.
You can repeat the previous steps to add more users.
Click the pencil icon to the right of a user to change info, or click the X to remove it.
After you add everyone, click CONTINUE.
Click the envelope icon to the right of a user to send a welcome email including their login information to another email address that they own.
You can see a preview of the email below.
Type the email address to send to in the Email address field on top.
Optionally, click Send copy to myself if you would like to receive a copy of the email.
Click SEND.
After you email everyone’s login information, click FINISH to move on to the final step in the initial setup.

To activate access to your Google Workspace services, you need to verify yourself as the owner of your domain name.
Activate your email delivery and start receiving emails at Google Workspace by adding MX records to your domain’s DNS settings.
Add users during the initial setup process. You can skip this now and add more users later. We cover this in more detail in the Users section.
