  • You can add or change your payment methods at any time.

Always add a backup payment method if possible

  • Google only charges a backup payment method when your primary one fails to complete an automatic payment. This prevents your account from getting suspended.

  • When you add a credit card, Google can typically authorize and begin charging it right away.
    In some cases, it may take a few hours.

Go to the Admin console and click Billing.

Click your Google Workspace subscription.

In the Billing details section, click View payment methods.

To add a new payment method

  • To add another payment method, click ADD PAYMENT METHOD.

To change existing credit card details

  • To edit the details of your current payment method, click EDIT under it.
  • If you have to change a credit card number, you need to add the card again as a new card.

To switch or remove your primary payment method

  • If you want to switch your payment method, you need to add the new one first and then click MAKE PRIMARY under it to make it the main one. At this point, you’ll be allowed to remove the old payment method.
