How many domains you can add to a single Google Workspace account

Google Workspace allows you to add up to 20 domains as Domain Aliases or up to 599 as Secondary Domains and manage them all together in the same Admin console https://admin.google.com/.

Once you add and verify another domain, you can use it to create email addresses.

When to add multiple domains to a single account

  • Your company uses more than one domain
  • You want users to have emails at multiple domains
  • You want to manage everything together

The cost of adding multiple domains

  • Adding extra domains to Google Workspace does not cost anything.
  • You’re only billed by the number of users or licenses, depending on your billing plan.

Limitations and features that are only available for the primary domain

Some features are only available for the primary domain.

Admin console settings

You can’t configure settings differently based on domains. What you can do as a workaround is to set different settings for different organizational units.

Company logo

You can add only one company logo for all your domains. The same logo appears for users in all domains that are part of your account. There are no workarounds for this.

Google Sites

Searches for sites return sites only in the same domain as the user.

For example, a user on a secondary domain won’t see any sites created in the primary domain.
When you delete a secondary domain, you also delete all sites built on the domain.

To avoid data loss on the domain, copy all sites to other domains.

Google App Engine

Applications that use Google App Engine are not available for users in non-primary domains.
