Address Lists
Set up email addresses and domains lists to allow, block, apply or exclude from email routing settings.
In the Admin console at https://admin.google.com, click the Apps icon.
Select Google Workspace.
Click Gmail. Make sure not to check the box to the left; just click the service.
Select Routing.
Under Organizational Units, select the OU with the users whose settings you want to update. The same updates will apply to all sub-OUs under the OU you choose.
By default, if you don’t select an OU, you will add your setting to the top OU, named after your domain. This way, you will apply changes to all users in your account.
You can search for an OU to find it faster if you have a large OU structure.
To the right of the Recipient address map setting, click CONFIGURE.
First, give the setting a short description on top. In this example, we named it Multiple A to B forwarding rules.
Then under 1. Messages to affect, choose to set it up for all incoming emails or only those coming from external senders.
Under 2. Routing options, check the box if you also want the original recipient listed under Address to receive the email, instead of it being re-routed to the email address under Map to address in the mappings list.
Next under 3. For the above types of messages, rewrite the recipients: type the email address you want to forward under Address and the email you wish to deliver to under Map to address.
Click the ADD button to add more forwarding rules. Alternatively, click BULK ADD to add multiple forwardings at once.
Type the mappings – two email addresses with a comma in between – the first email address forwards to the second one.
Then press the Enter key to go to a new row and add another mapping.
For example, adding “[email protected],[email protected]” means [email protected] will forward all received mail to [email protected]
Then click ADD ALIASES.
Under 4. Options, you can check the box to add a custom header to all forwarded messages.
Adding the X-Gm-Original-To header is useful when you reroute a copy of a message, and the new recipient wants to know the original recipient’s address. The latest recipient can see the original recipient by checking the X-Gm-Original-To header box in the message.
Click SAVE.
This is an example of what it looks like in the settings list. You can come back to this page at any time and click Edit to update the setting, Disable to turn it off temporarily, or Delete to remove it permanently.
Please note that it may take up to 24 hours to start working.
