  • You can add a list of blocked email addresses and domains and prevent them from sending emails to users in your Google Workspace.

Step 1

In the Admin console at https://admin.google.com, click the Apps icon.

Select Google Workspace.

Click Gmail. Make sure not to check the box to the left; just click the service.

Select Spam, Phishing and Malware.

Under Organizational Units, select the OU with the users whose settings you want to update. The same updates will apply to all sub-OUs under the OU you choose.

By default, if you don’t select an OU, you will add your setting to the top OU, named after your domain. This way, you will apply changes to all users in your account.

You can search for an OU to find it faster if you have a large OU structure.

To the right of Blocked senders, click CONFIGURE or ADD ANOTHER RULE.

First, give it a short description on top.

If you haven’t already created a list of email addresses and domains to block, click Create or edit list and follow the steps in this article, then continue with the steps below.

Under 1. Add addresses or domains that you want to automatically reject messages from, click Use existing list.

Check the box to the left of your address list to add it to this setting.

You can customize the rejection message under 2. Edit the default rejection notice.

You can add another list that bypasses the blocked senders list above under 3. Options.

This is useful if you add an entire domain to the blocked senders list but want to allow one or more email addresses to bypass the setting.

When you’re ready, click SAVE.

Please note that it may take up to 24 hours to start working.
